That does not change the fact that they are still a known spamhouse.

Re: pfft

If you don't mind, I wasn't exactly requesting a reply from a newbie, but ah, I suppose I shouldn't expect anything less. No, EFNet servers (what exactly are 'EFNet servers'?) do not send ident requests from port 113, they send ident requests destined for port 113. What exactly does this have to do...

I have no idea what exactly you are trying to say, so perhaps you could rephrase it. No, EFNet servers do not send ident requests from port 6667, they send requests from port 113 which follows the RFC1413 guidelines. For more information about RFC1413 visit http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/cgi-bin/rfc/...

Typing /stats p does nothing here btw. edit (which seems to be some strange sysreset thing) Uhm, typing /stats p DOES do something. It lists the operators for the server you are on, and their idle times. If you don't see anything, perhaps your client is in the wrong window or not displaying server ...

They are supar secret drones with a secret plan to takeover EFNet. Be careful, they will hack you and make your PC blow up.

Re: What "really" goes on

A good example of the type "typical" ircop in my mind is when I see Webber sitting voiced in a channel that's full of drones and wreaking havoc on channels and does nothing about it. So be it... :!: :!: A good example of a typical luser who doesn't know what the hell is going on is YOU. Don't be so...

Heh, "stable" and "Windows ME" do not belong in the same sentence together. It is the most unstable operating system that Microsoft has EVER released. My Windows 3.11/WFW boxes were more stable I believe. It simply is trash. You should run Win2k if you can't run XP.

Uhm. It is an admins right to choose what clients will be able to connect to his server. A lot of times, its not even the admin. Take Umich for example. Umich has very strict filters, at its border, before the IRC server -- which means only a select few clients can connect to it. If you don't like t...
