With irc loosing clients to other mediums it was the wice choise to do. Make it easier for users to find eachother.

The european region of EFnet have approved a 60 day trial link for a server from IP-Man in Switzerland. The server will be named irc.efnet.ch and is open for all clients and friendly bots. Admin of the server is Nico@EFnet so a warm welcome to Switzerland on EFnet

seems irc.efnet.nl is down again due to some hardware failure, and irc.blessed.net disappeared of the grid as well today, but both will hopefully be back soon.

I see, but that leads to following questions: 1st: Efnet does not like to have additional servers ? We do like redundancy and having additional resources. Currently efnet have pretty good coverage in that part of europe. That your country doesnt have a client server doesnt mean much the way Internet is built today.. efnet pioneered nickserv back in the early 1990's, and after massive abuse, it was quickly disabled.
