BitchX wont read .bitchxrc

BitchX wont read .bitchxrc

Hi all,

BitchX Wont read .bitchxrc and i cant work out why :/ here is my .bitchxrc:

export IRCNICK=dave2005
export IRCSERVER=irc.server.com
export HOME=dl/
export IRCNAME=skeptic
How can i get BitchX to read it?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I don't believe Bitchx reads variables like your shell does. Try putting what you have down there in your .profile

future reference, for .bitchxrc, it would be:

set VARIABLE some string or other
and, irrc, it would be just NICK, SERVER, and NAME if you set it in .bitchxrc instead of .profile. though i could be wrong.
