Hybrid 6.4

I've run into a problem,

On slackware (Linux ermis 2.4.20 #2 Wed Jul 30 20:09:32 CEST 2003 i686 unknown) I have the following problem when i've configured, make'd and make'd installed.

tart@ermis:~/testing/ircd$ ls
\r/ \rircd.motd\r \rman8/ \ropers.txt\r* \rviklines@ ircd\r*
\rircd.conf\r* \rkline.conf\r \rmkpasswd* \rviconf* \rvimotd@
tart@ermis:~/testing/ircd$ ./ircd
-bash: ./ircd: No such file or directory
tart@ermis:~/testing/ircd$ ./ircd^M


Any help?

It's not a config.h issue since i've gone through paths etc and found no problem.

i have had this same problem with 6.3.1 on debian woody.

uname -a
will give your OS information

dmesg
after a fresh reboot will give information about your hardware (as will lspci/ls_pci on some linux systems)

also, what user are you using to start ircd?

just out of curiousity, is the \r at the end of most filenames something to do with your shell and/or copy/pasting? or is that actually part of the filenames?

if you use tab completion to complete the filename (ie "./ircd[tab]") does it come up with ./ircd\\r ?

I think those strange characters are the "colour codes" from bash as plain text.
