Anybody miss...

Postby Mickulz » Wed Apr 19, 2006 3:51 am

The old piker/barron kill wars?

I have been MIA from IRC for a few years and was bored and hopped on. Actually I think the last server I logged on to was when I oper'ed on mo.net with ShadowFax.

Anyway. I was just seeing who was still around from the ancient times (pre-split days).

Peace...

Mickulz.

My channel had a problem with Barron. I killed his Ariela bots more times than I can count. Demon and I talked about him quite a bit.

Still couldn't believe it when he got his own server.

Man...There was some shady things that used to happen back in the day.

#Madcrew and #Madjew fights. /masskills to get channels back. It was insane. I kinda miss it.

I have not really seen ShadowFax or any of the old opers I ran with back then.

I must admit I like the stability and "orginization" of EFNet now.

Considering how little happened on a network wide scale during most of the '90s, today's organization is actually quite a large step.

Still, though, when kiddies started packeting servers off of the network, it was really a no brainer that irc.texas.net was one of the first to go. ;)

Yeah, I remember when texas.edu was getting dropped every 2 mins for a month straight.

Didn't Piker have a hot sister or something like that?
