Hostname mangling

Postby Copyman » Tue Jul 20, 2004 8:51 pm

I don't know if this question has been asked before, but is there a posibility to install a hostname mangler like they use at Link-Net (+h) and QuakeNet (+x)?

I think many users would like to have a hostname mangler because they don't want to expose their hostname to others.

Idea maybe?

[edit]
Just found out this is the website ideas/suggestions section, anyway, question asked. :p

It's been suggested on here before, and rejected.

It may benefit a few users, but instead of the kids hitting users, they'll hit the servers they are on instead. EFnet can't afford more attacks.
